Lovejoy refused to mark
future school sites
Lovejoy
provided these descriptions below of the future school sites
on the Lovejoy web site. Repeated requests to mark the physical
properties with signs were denied.
Lovejoy superintendent, Carol Ray, stated to a citizen that
Lovejoy would not mark the properties, because they did not
want to affect the outcome of the election.
Homeowners in surrounding areas were unaware that schools
were going to be built next to them until after the bond election:
