AllenISD SRO DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enforce criminal law and protect the students, staff, and public at large against criminal activity.
  
  
• Provide information concerning questions about law enforcement topics to students and staff.
  
  
• Provide classroom instruction on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, narcotics, safety, public relations, occupatioanl training, leadership, and life skills.
  
  
• Coordinate investigative procedures between police and school administrators.
  
  
• Provide counseling on a limited basis to students, faculty, and staff.
  
  
• Handle police reports of crimes committed on campus.
  
  
• Take enforcement action on criminal matters when appropriate.
  
  
• Attend extra curricular activities and school related special events as needed.
  
  
• Prepare lesson plans as necessary for the instruction provided.
